[ backdated to before the elves, just when the snow is really heavily piling up! SOMEBODY has just been dumped out beyond the village after her de-hiatus kidnapping, and gave up wading through the packed snow after like five minutes. so she's trying a different tactic.
wherever you are, there's suddenly a girl on an armored penguin calling out for you to WATCH OUT!! as she sleds down the slope, swerving to avoid hitting you....... and then crashing into a tree. awkward. the only way that could be even more awkward is if you'd been unlucky and stepped out from behind a tree, out-of-sight, so that you didn't even get a warning before the girl and her penguin crash straight into you instead. whooops. ]

Don't worry about it. Do you... need help walking back? You don't look like you can stand up well right now.

[ taking a step in deep snow AND IMMEDIATELY FALLING DOWN HA... HA... ]

- She might have the right idea actually. Ruby crunches through the snow over to her to help too. Platina willing, he's going to try brushing the snow off of her sleeves.]
If I can get this stuff off of your coat first you can use me as a crutch till we get back to the village, or at least a place that someone's shoveled.
[Wait]
...Unless you got something really weird on your coat that I can't see. I don't wanna stain mine. You didn't, did you? [RUBY YOU'RE RIDICULOUS STOP IT.]

I-it's not that bad! And don't be rude, my coat is perfectly fine.
[ SAID DEFENSIVELY before she could even check, and then quickly looking herself over as if making absolutely sure that was even right. ]

[HA- he sees you checking there. It doesn't hurt to take precautions now does it?
Because clearly that's what this is about.]no subject

Right. Well, I suppose I could understand that. But there's nothing strange on my clothing, so you don't need to worry.

[That was a close one there. He kneels so she can get a better reach. Crutch get?]
no subject
I'm sure I can manage. Let's just continue back, then.
no subject
It's usually buried under makeup powder and rude okay?]
Nana and I came from this direction. If we walk in the footprints we made it shouldn't be as difficult to get back to a place that's been shoveled...
((ooc: They live together, so do you think they would be reasonably familiar with one another other by now? It's up to you!))
no subject
That makes sense. Let's continue, then, before the snow gets any higher and we have to swim!
no subject
I hope not though. [He cracks a tiny smile, recalling something]
You know? I never thought I'd see snow again after I'd moved, and yet here we are now- sloshing though it all the way back to the house.

[ this stuff makes her think of home, actually. northmost region rocks!! /o/ ]
no subject
Nope, the Hoenn region is more about jungles, deserts, and volcanoes than anything cold.
[Southern-most region represent!]

Jungles aren't all they're cracked up to be if you ask me; sure there's exotic looking flora and pokemon, but what people always forget to mention is the humidity trapped below the canopy by the plants. It feels gross.
[The fact he has to traverse one to visit Sapphire's Secret Base may not help either. It feels like a chore sometimes.]

Hmm... but if you put it that way, it still sounds like an interesting experience. A little like getting stuck in the swamps around Pastoria!
no subject
Ha- it might be interesting for you, but not for me, I suppose. If I could trek through a swamp without getting muddy that would be one thing, but sometimes there's a little too much nature... in nature for me.
no subject
... Isn't 'too much nature in nature' a paradox?
