[ backdated to before the elves, just when the snow is really heavily piling up! SOMEBODY has just been dumped out beyond the village after her de-hiatus kidnapping, and gave up wading through the packed snow after like five minutes. so she's trying a different tactic.

wherever you are, there's suddenly a girl on an armored penguin calling out for you to WATCH OUT!! as she sleds down the slope, swerving to avoid hitting you....... and then crashing into a tree. awkward. the only way that could be even more awkward is if you'd been unlucky and stepped out from behind a tree, out-of-sight, so that you didn't even get a warning before the girl and her penguin crash straight into you instead. whooops. ]

I-it's no problem. I'm surprised that penguin sledding is even something that exists! Well, enough to have a name.

Maybe because it's only done at the Water Tribes. Most worlds don't have otter-penguins like us, so I guess they don't have penguin sledding either.

I can imagine. Certain pokemon can only be found in certain regions. That said, you're still more experienced, so let me know if I'm sledding correctly.

Don't worry, I will! [Never mind that he's... just winging it most of the time and only actually penguin sled once. But he's never crashed at least! He makes sure he's seated steadily and readily.]

[Aang laughs wildly, having no yeti-like creatures in his memory to fret over; instead, he tries bending the snow around them to help them pick up speed while doing what he can to try to steer the Empoleon safely around.]

[ hey whoa THAT'S AN ICE-TYPE MOVE?? she barely has enough breath to laugh from sheer amazement as empoleon slides onto the snowpath, flippers whirring madly as she picks up even more speed. ]

[So much fun. And of course when they approach an area that goes up like a ramp, he'll try to steer the Empoleon towards it.]

This'll be fun!

[ and then squeaking as empoleon launches off the ramp and into the air, flapping her wings. IT'S LIKE REALLY FLYING \o/ ]

[He cheers and spreads his arms out as the Empoleon takes off.]

[ dignifiedly trying not to make any embarrassing noises and WHOA THE GROUND'S COMING UP PRETTY FAST bracing for impact!! ]

[He sees the ground coming excitedly and braces his legs while letting his arms still wave freely. Some mild bending can also help to smooth their landing a bit.]

[ AAAND down they go /o/ it is a much softer landing than expected thanks to snowbending, but empoleon nearly bucks Platina off anyway and she grabs for Aang's hand, help me out here!! ]

[Of course he's got this, bro. He quickly grips her hand and holds her down onto the Empoleon with a nervous smile.]

[ pretty out-of-breath from WHOA WHEW THAT JUST HAPPENED and clinging back onto empoleon's neck tighter than ever. the village has got to be nearby right! ]

No problem! [And he points ahead.] We should be reaching the final stretch! [And he gets a good grip on Empoleon, too, because... well of course he's going to try to speed them up more for the big finish.]

[ almost there!! inspiration hits her in a flash. GOTTA GO FAST. ]

Right! Let's hang on... empoleon, water jet!

[ SPEED UP, YOU SAY?? ]

[Yes, and this makes Aang cheer even more! A sledding penguin that can go even faster! Truly this is the majesty of Pokemon.]

[ aww hell yeah icontwins for BREAKNECK SPEED. she can't help but cheer with him. secret daredevil!! ]

[Through the snowbanks, secret secret secret secret daredevil! And yes he basically continues to cheer and whoop and feel the wind rush in his face excitedly for the whole last stretch.]

[ aaand eventually the ground levels off as empoleon slides right into town like it ain't no thing. she chirrups a little like OKAY, RIDE'S OVER before clambering up. ]

Whew...! That was rather enjoyable.

It was, wasn't it, Platina? That was so great! I haven't really had that great a ride on a new animal in a long time! Thank you so much! [He quickly hugs Platina.] And you too, Penpolio! [And then he hugs the Empoleon again.]

It's empole... well, I'm glad you enjoyed it. It's been a while since I rode on a pokemon, too, and I've never tried with her.

But she did a good job!
