I have a favor to ask of whomever is watching. My name is Platina Berlitz and this is Pearl, and... a friend of ours has been injured in the draft. He's in recovery, but his birthday is also in two days.

We were thinking about throwing him a party to help him cheer up. [and give themselves some rest, whoo boy] There'd be a lot of food, of course, since Dia's a big eater all on his own.

[...free food is good incitement right??]

Any aid with this would be appreciated! E-especially with the food. He's usually the one cooking for us, not the other way around...

He's welcome to come find me anytime in Building 1, Floor 4 while he's healing if that helps. I'm already cooking for several people here, and there will definitely be extra food.

[Because several of the ninja floor's residents probably aren't eating properly, given events back home. Chouji will make enough to feed a half-dozen people or more every meal in hope of remedying this.]

I'll tell Diamond next time I see him, unless you get around to it first.

I'll let him know, don't worry. [It's nice to know Diamond has friends outside of him and Missy. ...Pearl can count on one hand how many friends he has outside of Dia and Missy, on the other hand.] He's a like big cat that's always hungry -- feed him once and he'll probably wander back for more.

[The comparison draws a laugh, and Chouji doesn't seem at all dismayed by the possibility of repeat visits. He's also usually hungry, after all.]

I've seen him cook. [He looks a little sheepish here.] We snuck into the kitchens together after seeing what passed for food in the mess hall. I'm sure he'll return the favor once he's up to it, but there's no rush on that.
